Documentation Coming Soon

WP Media Sync is still being built. This page will become the home for installation, connection, sync workflow, and troubleshooting documentation as the MVP stabilizes.

Planned Guides

Install the WordPress connector

Activate the plugin, confirm REST API availability, and prepare a WordPress Application Password.

Connect the desktop app

Add a WordPress site, store credentials in the OS credential store, and verify the connection.

Choose a local sync folder

Create a local workspace for one WordPress site and understand how sync state is tracked locally.

Review and sync media changes

Upload new files, download remote files, replace attachments, edit metadata, and handle trash decisions.

Expected Setup Flow

1

Install the connector plugin

The WordPress plugin exposes focused REST endpoints for media list, upload, replacement, deletion, and metadata updates.

2

Create an Application Password

Use WordPress Application Passwords so the desktop app can authenticate without storing your account password.

3

Pair the desktop companion app

Enter the site URL, username, and Application Password, then choose the local folder for that site.

4

Review changes before syncing

The first version is designed around explicit review for uploads, downloads, replacements, metadata edits, and deletes.
